August 2024 – September 2025: Production Process and Safety Improvement Placement, Airbus
Biography
I am a final-year MEng Chemical Engineering student with a keen interest in helping the transition to net zero. During my placement year at Airbus, I led safety improvement projects and got to experience life on the shop floor of the site where wings for Airbus’s commercial aircraft are built. For my design project, I designed high-pressure supercritical reactors for a carbon fibre recycling plant. My research project brings together my interests in sustainability and process design. I’m looking forward to developing my skills further and learning from the group this year.
Quirks & Facts
Outside of studies and work, I love concerts and festivals and have seen around 60 artists live, with Coldplay being my favourite. I also enjoy travelling and journalling. A fun fact about me is that I starred in an advert when I was 10, and as a child I dreamed of becoming a TV presenter.
