Biography
I am a chemical engineer who graduated from Aston University in 2026 with a First Class MEng degree in Chemical Engineering. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in sustainable energy technologies, reaction engineering, process intensification and the decarbonisation of industrial processes. My final year research project investigated the production and characterisation of porous barium titanate electroceramics using non-solvent induced phase inversion. The work explored how material porosity and microstructure influenced dielectric and piezoelectric performance. As part of my degree, I also contributed to the conceptual design of a sustainable aviation fuel production facility in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. My work focused on evaluating alternative production routes, including hydroprocessed esters and fatty acids and biomass gasification coupled with Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. I have experience using Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD Plant 3D, alongside a range of laboratory characterisation methods. My long term ambition is to contribute to research and teaching in chemical engineering, with an emphasis on sustainable energy and industrial decarbonisation.
Quirks & Facts
Outside of my academic work, I enjoy going to the gym, swimming, learning German and studying world history. I am also interested in travelling, experiencing different cultures and competing in Judo.
